  • Overview

    Fahlgren Mortine is seeking to add a Marketing Automation Specialist to join its team in the company’s Columbus office.


    Our ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the execution of multiple integrated marketing programs through a variety of marketing automation and CRM platforms. The Marketing Automation Specialist will be a key resource in helping clients nurture their prospects with highly personalized, useful content. This includes collaborating closely with various agency departments including planning, creative and client engagement to create strategies and build programs that convert prospects into customers and drive revenue.


    • Supports the execution of integrated marketing programs through a variety of marketing automation platforms, including programs for email marketing and lead nurturing campaigns, landing pages, CRM and contact management, segmentation, analytics and reporting and other programs to ensure all marketing activities are trackable and measurable
    • Collaborates with agency teams as a strategic partner and advisor for marketing automation strategies
    • Supports the process of creating and testing emails, landing pages and forms for agency and client programs
    • Works closely with agency and client analytics teams to design measurement, testing and optimization mechanisms to evaluate campaign success
    • Using customer insights and data to develop and recommend data-driven decisions internally and to the client
    • Remains knowledgeable up-to-date on emerging technologies and proactively makes recommendations to internal team members where necessary
    • Stays current with the latest marketing automation practices for both B2B and B2C and SaaS technologies
    • Obtain various software training and certifications when necessary


    • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with marketing automation platforms, specifically HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Sharpspring
    • In-depth understanding of the customer buying journey and inbound marketing
    • Inbound Marketing and HubSpot certifications preferred but not required
    • Experience with email marketing and ability to develop strategies and recommendations for clients that follow best practices
    • Experience in Salesforce.com or HubSpot CRM preferred, but not required
    • Intermediate knowledge of HTML and CSS
    • Demonstrates collaborative behavior and ability to maintain productive and effective working relationships with engagement, planning and creative teams
    • Exhibits strong communication skills with the ability to present information in verbal, written or visual form to a variety of audiences
    • Ability to take initiative in optimizing campaign quality and suggesting technical recommendations to improve program performance
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an understanding and ability to create data-driven recommendations/decisions for clients
    • Entrepreneurial experience or interest
    • BS in MIS, marketing, or equivalent work experience
